相传很久很久以前，在某个小岛有一位铁匠，生性醇厚，为人善良，与老伴相依为命，夫妇二人世世代代在小岛以打铁为生。
According to legend, a long, long time ago, there was a blacksmith on a small island. He was a mellow, kind-hearted man. He and his wife depended on each other for fate. The couple lived on the island for generations.
有一天，一位随着萨拉丁一路征战的将军路过此地，来到城里随人群四处闲逛，刚巧经过这位铁匠的店铺，便走进去瞧瞧。眼见这位铁匠手艺高超，老伴在炉边拉着风箱噼里啪啦的带着响声火星子随热气飘飞上天、铁匠叮叮当当的奋力锻打火花四溅，时不时还会加入一些特殊的泥土和盐巴，将军看了很是好奇。
One day, a general who had fought along with Saladin passed by here and came to the city to wander around with the crowd. He happened to pass by the blacksmith’s shop and walked in to take a look. Seeing this blacksmith’s superb craftsmanship, his wife was pulling the bellows by the furnace, crackling, sparks flying into the sky with the heat, the blacksmith’s clanging struggling to forge sparks, and from time to time some special soil and salt were added. The general looked very curious.
于是命令这位铁匠给自己锻打一副大刀，最后锻打完成之后，这把刀吹毛即断，削铁如泥，将军一看，异常喜欢不住地点头。铁匠试完刀之后把刀具呈给将军，说了声：SIKKINA。
So he ordered the blacksmith to forge a large knife for himself. After the final forging was completed, the knife broke and cut the iron like mud. When the general saw it, he couldn’t help but nod. After the blacksmith tried the knife, he presented the knife to the general and said: SIKKINA.
刀在当地的发音是SIKKINA，由于语言不通，将军还以为铁匠的名字叫SIKKINA。于是将军拍着铁匠的肩膀，对着众人宣布，SIKKINA是他所见过最好的铁匠，众人齐声呼喊“SIKKINA。
The local pronunciation of the knife is SIKKINA. Due to the language barrier, the general thought the blacksmith’s name was SIKKINA. So the general patted the blacksmith on the shoulder and announced to everyone that SIKKINA was the best blacksmith he had ever seen, and everyone shouted “SIKKINA.”
后来这位将军把铁匠招致麾下，专门负责为他的军队锻打兵器，有了神刀利刃的助攻，这位将军冲锋陷阵，真有万夫不挡之勇，后来这位铁匠不断的改进制作工艺，刀具越做越好，SIKKINA名声也越传越远，人们渐渐忘记了这位铁匠的真名。
Later, the general brought the blacksmith to his subordinates, who was responsible for forging weapons for his army. With the assist of the magic knife and the blade, the general charged and fell into the battle. He was really unstoppable. Later, the blacksmith continued to improve the production process. The more the knives were made, the better, and the reputation of SIKKINA spread farther and farther, and people gradually forgot the real name of the blacksmith.
在几百年之后的今天，曾经的军工制作工艺逐渐流入民间，经过多次改良，于是就有了我们的厨房刀具品牌SIKKINA.
Today, hundreds of years later, the former military craftsmanship has gradually flowed into the folks. After many improvements, we have our kitchen knife brand SIKKINA.
